Austin M. Cohen: Associate Attorney

Austin M. Cohen

Meet Austin

Austin is a civil litigator specializing in family law. He also practices employment law, appeals and civil litigation.  He frequently relies on his experience working in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and a state trial court to create strategies and solve complex legal positions.

Austin’s family law practice is grounded in divorce and post-decree issues including division of complex assets, parental responsibilities, child support, maintenance, parental alienation, marital agreements, and business valuations. He has a compassionate, empathetic, and tenacious personality, which allows him to work well with his clients and ensure that their needs and goals are met. Austin also works with a variety of experts in the business and psychology fields to assist his clients during the case. At the end of the day, he understands the impact that litigation has on the family unit and makes himself available to his clients during non-business hours.

Austin’s employment law practice is rooted in discrimination claims involving race, national origin, color, religion, sex, age and disability. Prior to joining Coombe Curry Rich & Jarvis, he worked for a boutique employment law firm where he was part of the team that received the largest civil rights settlement in the history of the City and County of Denver. Austin now represents employers and corporations in discrimination lawsuits.

In college, Austin was a member of student government and on the hockey team. In the community, he is a member of Denver Active 2030 Children’s Foundation, and volunteers for Wish of a Lifetime, which grants life-long wishes to senior citizens.
